Lights ain’t lights: LEDs are best
Do you need the lights on in your house all day in winter? Do you know how much this adds to your power bill?
Consider replacing your old existing lights with the LED equivalent. The power saved on their running costs will surprise you.
LEDs also have a typical lifespan of around 15 years. They light up immediately and can be switched on and off frequently without compromising durability or light emission.
The changeover to LED technology is usually straightforward but should be done by one of Sharpe Services’ licensed and fully-insured electricians.
LED options exits for all types of lights, including oyster lights, fluorescent tubes, downlights and floodlights with sensors.
At the very least you should replace halogen downlights with LEDs as they use 70 per cent less power.
LED lights are also eco-friendly, with close to zero UV emissions.
Think of the upgrade from conventional to LED lighting as similar to converting from analogue to digital technology.
