I’m worried about my winter power costs.

Should I consider replacing my halogen downlights with LEDs?

Absolutely. The power saved on their running costs will surprise you. They also operate at a much lower temperature, which is great for your household’s fire safety. I’d be looking at replacing all eight.

What would the savings be?

If you use them an average of four hours a day, it could be nearly $500 a year.

Are they easy to replace?

Depending on the standard of the original installation, it should be a simple changeover. If you’ve never had downlights we can install a complete new system. As LED globes don’t need transformers, the installation process is less complicated than halogens.

So is it worth the effort to make the change?

LED lights use less than 30 percent of the power halogens do and have a lifespan of around 15 years.
