However, it also means there are older systems out there needing some “solar Tender Loving Care”.

The dirty panels were cleaned. Then the system was checked for output, compliance with current safety regulations, corrosion of fittings and whether the isolator was one of those subject to an industry recall. Any issues here could affect performance, costing valuable savings.

However, all boxes were ticked with the observation that increased shading from trees since installation was affecting output. Perhaps the clients could consider fitting micro-inverters or getting an arborist to prune overhanging vegetation.
