Hidden Ducting Disaster

This week Sharpe Services attended a Flagstaff Hill property experiencing a common winter heating issue.

The ducted gas system had stopped circulating warm air in some areas of the house.

Sharpe’s experienced and fully qualified and insured tech Jason soon found the cause: collapsed ducting that had also pulled away from its junctions.

Ducting made of cheap material can crack and break open, causing heated air to leak out of the system.

If undetected these holes can bring dust and debris into the ducting and home, sometimes even reducing or blocking flow from air vents. Poor ductwork design and installation is another cause of breakages.
