Nationwide Electrical Safety Recall Notice

Regarding an internal fault in certain Solar DC Isolators.

Our electricians and technicians have been called out to repair numerous solar power systems that have experienced burnt out DC Isolators.

Have your system inspected, serviced, and cleaned to avoid damage – especially if your DC Isolator is the PV Power brand.

An Electrical Safety Product Recall Notice applies to these ‘PV Power’ branded DC Isolators with the part number XPDCISO1000V32A. This Isolator was on sale and installed by contractors between August 2012 and August 2013.

A manufacturing error has led to the risk of a high resistance connection forming within the DC Isolator. In certain cases this can lead to the unit catching fire.

If you have a ‘PV POWER’ branded Solar DC Isolator you should take the following actions:

Check your DC Isolator for the model number XPDCISO1000V32A

If you have the affected model, immediately shut down your Solar PV System, and contact the installer – or have one of our Sharpe Solar technicians service and inspect your system.
