Get into the habit of regularly checking the display panel on the inverter

The inverter, usually mounted on an external wall at the shoulder, should be checked regularly. It is a vital and hardworking part of your solar system, converting the direct current (DC) generated by your solar panels to alternating current (AC). This AC then powers your household’s electricity circuits.

A red light or error code indicates a major problem.

Most likely the fault will have shut down the entire system, but at the very least output will be severely reduced. The fault could be anywhere in your system and requires a professional to identify and fix it. Our solar techs can come to check and test every component to locate the fault, starting at the inverter.
