Zoned heating works for winter

Power bills often soar during winter as families struggle to heat their homes effectively.

Ducted and zoned air-conditioning is an efficient way to heat (and cool) larger homes.

But there are two vital considerations.

“It is important to get the correct-sized system with a zoning design that suits the house and its occupants,” says a Sharpe Energy Hub spokesperson.

Zones allow the system to heat only those parts of the house being used. Varying heat levels can be set and applied to individual zones.

These zones can be controlled remotely in an empty house by smart phone technology. This means the area to be used first on arrival home is warm. Another option is to install sensors which activate a zone when a person walks into that area of the house.

“The overall design of a system and the quality of its ducting and installation are crucial,” says the Sharpe Energy Hub spokesperson.

“This is because the actual unit does only half the job and is reliant on well-planned ducting and zoning to run most efficiently.”

Sharpe Energy Hub consultants have the “big picture” approach.

“We look at the floor plan, room dimensions and use, plus the number of occupants,” says the Sharpe spokesperson.

It never pays to go for the cheapest product and Sharpe Energy Hub Sharpe is affiliated with the most trusted brands in the industry.

“Quality comes first,” says the Sharpe Energy Hub spokesperson. “The more expensive running costs of a cheaper system will soon lose you any savings you may have hoped for.”
