Hassle-free Heat Pump

With traditional water heating systems, such as electricity and gas, accounting for up to 35 per cent of a household’s energy bill, there is a trend towards new technology.

Krista of Davoren Park is at the forefront, having switched from reliance on gas for heating and cooking to solar power, including a Tesla battery.

The latest addition to her energy-efficient household is an EvoHeat Evo 270 heat pump, which is compatible with battery power.

Supplied and installed by Sharpe Energy-Hub, it is a leading brand among the new generation of hot water systems.

“I wanted to get out of gas totally and I’d heard good things about the Evo 270,” she says.

Consumer opinion website ProductReview.com.au has named the Evo 270 as its 2019 hot water award winner.

The Evo 270 was rated 4.8 out of five stars by consumers with such comments as “even better than expected”, “compliments our solar system by being able to choose modes and times of operation”,  “great heat, great water pressure” and “paying for itself in greatly reduced costs and zero carbon emissions”.

Sharpe Energy-Hub, which has a huge range of hot water systems, is finding increasing interest in the Evo 270.

The Evo 270 is compact and easy to install. It has some clever features, such as a “vacation mode”, which allows it to be deactivated while the house is empty but programmed to ensure there is hot water when occupants return.

“We can use the monitoring app to see how the heat pump is operating,” Krista says. “At night if it needs to top up the hot water it draws from the battery, not the mains, which is great for cost saving.”

Sharpe Energy-Hub has consultants ready to help explain the benefits of heat pumps.

Systems are installed and serviced by Sharpe’s own technicians, not subcontractors, to give reassurance regarding warranties and guarantees.

This is backed by the experience and knowledge of 39 years in business.
