Transform the savings

Sophie is on a mission to transform her Black Forest home.

“I want to get away as far as possible from using fossil fuels,” she says.

However, her budget means she has to do it in stages. So when her old electric hot water storage unit started leaking she faced a tough decision. Replace like with like or buy a system that uses renewable energy.

Adelaide’s Sharpe Energy-Hub guided her through the decision process. Their in-house experts analysed Sophie’s present power usage and future needs to develop a long-term strategy.

The first step was to supply and install a Stiebel Eltron hot water heat pump. It is solar-ready, so can be easily connected to the bank of rooftop solar panels Sophie plans to install next.

Meanwhile, being eligible for generous government rebates, the payback period has already been slashed, while running costs are a fraction of Sophie’s old system.

Heat pumps don’t rely on sunlight to operate, as solar hot water systems do. They transfer energy from the air into a heating process that works day or night and in all weather conditions.

The Stiebel Eltron heat pump is German engineered by a company that has been around since 1924.

Its hot water heat pumps are designed for Australian conditions, operate quietly and have a maintenance-free protective anode suitable for hard or soft water areas.

A five-year warranty gives additional peace of mind.

Sharpe Energy-Hub has a range of systems, all with proven performance and the industry’s longest guarantees.

They are installed and serviced by Sharpe’s own technicians, not subcontractors, to give reassurance regarding warranties and guarantees.

This is backed by the experience and knowledge of 39 years in business.

“My new heat pump is going really well and this is just the start of my journey to be energy-efficient,” says Sophie.
